Mid-Level Risk Assessment Specialist/Project Manager
The Mahfood Group LLC® is seeking a Mid-Level Risk Assessment Specialist/Project Manager. The candidate must be familiar with various regulatory programs including but not limited to:
- Pennsylvania's Land Recycling Program,
- Pennsylvania’s Underground Storage Tank Program,
- West Virginia's Voluntary Remediation Program,
- RCRA, and,
- Superfund
The candidate must have five to ten years of experience completing public health risk assessments from project inception to site closure. The candidate must also possess the ability to develop complex conceptual site models and must be proficient in developing spreadsheets while working independently. The candidate will also be required to mentor the junior staff members.
Senior Risk Assessment Specialist / Green Design
The Mahfood Group LLC ® is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The individual will assist other senior staff members in developing new markets/clients in the healthy/green/sustainable arena. In addition, basic human health risk assessment skills are mandatory and training junior staff will be a key component of the position. Familiarity with current green design concepts as they relate to both indoor air quality and exterior design is strongly recommended. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of twenty years experience in combination with an MS degree in public health and related experience in current sustainable design or related fields. The successful candidate should also possess the ability to generate new projects under our Healthy Roots Project ®, including but not limited to, green design of under used/utilized properties in southwestern Pennsylvania and urban agriculture.
Entry Level Risk Scientist
Minimum qualifications should include:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe;
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment;
- General knowledge of various regulatory programs including but not limited to:
- Pennsylvania's Land Recycling Program,
- West Virginia's Voluntary Remediation Program,
- RCRA,
- Superfund
- Relevant background knowledge in chemistry, biology, basic mathematics and basic toxicology; and,
- Ability to perform research tasks.
